The building was inaugurated in 1915. In the basement of this gallery there is an Art Nouveau theater that adds value to the Piazzolla Tango show, allowing visitors to enjoy a unique experience.
The theater is an “Italian-style” theater, with boxes located around the horseshoe-shaped seating area, creating an immersive acoustic experience and enhancing visibility. It stands out for its walls decorated with golden lions and red velvet, in keeping with the passion of Tango.
The public also has access to a secondary theater of the same decorative quality, featuring wrought-iron ornaments and a ceiling fresco honoring Carlos Gardel.
