El Querandí

El Querandi Tango Show in San Telmo is a very romantic and cozy venue, perfect to enjoy tango at short distance. Here you'll see dancing world champions of tango, they are escorted by the excellent body of dancers, four-member band and two singers. This is the only show with a la carte menu. They serve also boutique wines from their own cellar.

At El Querandí Tango Show in San Telmo you can enjoy the most traditional tango, good food and drink. In this Tango house located in one of the cradles of Tango you can see dancing world class cast, while tasting a very generous menu, all escorted with exquisite wines of their own creation.

History of Tango is told through the dance of traditional "tango salon", alternating with stage tango on a beautiful bar top. The distribution of tables is in L shape, therefore El Querandi offers a show where you are close to the stage from all angles and a cozy feel, with its ebony cladded wall and romantic candle light. Costumes are varied as well as the choreographies, giving the dancers the opportunity to show their diverse styles.

Tables are at an ideal distance from the stage, so you can enjoy close hand of the band conformed by four players. Particularly piano and bass players are outstanding. Dancers are very close to the public while they make their entrance to the stage, you'll feel the beautiful costumes brushing your table or dancing on the ebony bar.

The experienced singer is a real master of ceremony who also sings "a capela".

El Querandí Tango Show in San Telmo is in a beautiful hundred years old house in the quaint neighborhood of San Telmo, in the heart of Buenos Aires. The house is decorated with a carved ebony boiserie which adds sense of history.

Food is exquisite, as El Querandi is also a restaurant. This is the reason why you'll be able to choose from more than 20 dishes. El Querandi also offers our signature Argentinean wine, the Malbec, from their boutique winery.

Dinner service is always on time and helpful to choose among such delicious options. Starters can be "homemade matambre" or mozzarella frité. The house speciality is "chorizo steak" with potatoes and basil. You'll finish the delicious dinner with an exquisite variety of desserts like, our traditional ice cream (do not miss it!!) or flan with our dulce de leche (crème caramel).
